For the first time ever, Estilo Moda Bridal headed to the biggest wedding show in England, The National Wedding Show which took place at Earls Court in Central London with our beautiful designs.
You may think that we did not find the experience daunting at all. Don’t get me wrong, we know that the business had matured to a stage where we are able to compete with the bigger players in the industry and we also know that our designs can stand up to the scrutiny of even the fussiest of brides, but because it was to be our first time ever at such an amazing and large wedding show, we knew we had to plan and prepare carefully to make the sort of impact that would be beneficial to us as a business.
We spent many hours planning, tweaking and retweaking our ideas for our exhibition stand, what dresses to take from our new Jadé Bridal Collection and which props to use to create a beautiful and welcoming scene for the brides-to-be. We were to be positioned in the prestigious designers area close to the Catwalk and VIP Lounge and we had our own exclusive changing room so we knew we really had to create something amazing for the brides to see.
We finally decided on using a stunning vintage feature wall using lovely wallpaper in our which displayed our brand colours, elevating our showstopper dresses for greater visibility and using such props as vintage stacked boxes, birdcages, bunting, hanging vintage pom poms, and other quaint and quirky decorative items to create a taster of what our beautiful bridal studio in Milton Keynes is for the visiting brides. I must admit that our stand went down a treat. Brides kept exclaiming as to how beautiful and well thought out it was and many of them fell in love with our sketch book mounted on an easel and the pictures of our past brides attached to the bunting with cute heart shaped clips. We wore matching blazers on day two and three and the brides and their entourage just could not get enough of that. On day one Katie and Emelie wore matching outfits and Sarah and I complimented their colours and the brides loved that too!
The show took off on Friday with brides coming in groups; very eager to find out about us and what we do. Many of them were amazed at the prospect at being able to design their own wedding dress and at the really sensible prices that we charged. We spoke to the brides about our two wedding dress collections priced at different points for the different types of brides; Jadé Bridal and Savvy Chic Bridal and they thought that was a really great idea.
Brides could not get enough of the sketch book which had sketches of past designs we had created for other brides and bridesmaids. Many of them found inspiration through some of those designs and it really got them talking about what they would do with their own design for their wedding dresses and bridesmaids dresses.
We sketched dresses on the spot for brides who were able to describe their dresses to us and we could not get over how stunned many of them were by the accuracy of our sketches to what they had envisioned themselves in. We loved every minute of it and we felt very special.
Many brides wanted to try on our dresses and we found ourselves overwhelmed at points where there were so many brides waiting to try on our dresses. It was extremely exhausting but very exhiliarating. We even had chairs for the Mums to sit on while they waited for their daughters. One bride paid her deposit straight away as she did not want to lose a place on our waiting list. We had a record breaking amount of brides eagerly give us their details to send them more information about us and we also had a huge number of girls book their appointments straight away. Considering that many of the brides were not Milton Keynes based, we were pleasantly surprised at how casually they reacted to the fact that they would have to travel to us. Many of them stated that they would definitely travel to us if it meant getting their perfect dress.
There were brides who found their dream dresses right there and then and we had lots of tears, whoops and hugs. We were simply floating on cloud 9 and could not believe how amazingly well our designs and brand were accepted. We knew our brides loved us but we were simply awed at the extent to which these brides showed their excitement at our customisable wedding dress and bridesmaids dress designs as well as what they perceived as a special brand due to the friendliness, knowledge and expertise of the team and the unique way our stand had been designed.
In all, it was a very exhiliarating, emotional and humbling three days for us. We know that we are doing something right and I am personally so grateful to God that all our dreams are coming to life in this way. We have a wonderful team, an amazing fan base and a growing brand and we are so proud that we are raising more awareness for Milton Keynes as a go to place for brides seeking a special experience and the most beautiful tailored dresses for their wedding day.
